you'd thought that that would've been the end of it, that he was just simply teasing you for a moment, but oh boy, were you wrong. just as you were in the middle of telling a story, jude's fingers grazed just under the dress you were wearing.

"and so I was li-" you stopped talking for a moment, back straightening as you adjusted your posture, moving away from jude slightly.

"you okay?" your friend asked, looking at you with concern. you could see jude in your peripheral vision doing his best not to laugh, and you'd never wanted to clobber him more.

"I'm fine." you said, taking a sip of your drink. your friend nodded, a bit unconvinced. you continued on your story from before, this time uninterrupted.

"stop it, jude." you murmured under your breath. he smiled in response.

"can't help it, you're just so beautiful." he said under his breath, his teasing touches turning to gentle circles on your thigh.

the night continued on as it was, eventually winding down as you said goodbye to your friends and jude's. the walk back to his place felt unbearably long, especially since you knew what was going to happen once you got back.
