Reaver reasoning

Although to a certain extent Fiora decided to become a Reaver simply because it sounded cool and she wanted to drink blood (because you are what you eat and she wants to be a dragon). But like being a champion straight up didn't seem right and like she didn't any to be a Templar for a few reasons. A) she wanted to be a Templar as a child and was denied it and that alone kind of made being a Templar a sore subject. B) it seemed disrespectful to Cullen because he worked so hard not be a Templar and to not be controlled by lyrium so she didn't want to become that because it seems like a mockery of him. And lastly c) she's seen the damage lyrium does first hand how can someone with that in their veins be the inquisitor and bring hope? So yeah

Bodies

Ari : Ari is tall for an elf like really fuckin tall cause she's taller than quite a few human women and she's got this boxy build she inherited from her father so all around she doesn't have a super elfy body. Her mother was a bit tall too but not as tall as ari. Growing up she was super self conscious because even as a kid she was taller than other kids but not by that much and occasionally she'd be mistaken as a human kid and guards would be like 'what are you doing in the alienage' and then they'd see her ears and send her back sometimes with insults. She wanted to pretend to be a human so she could see denerim but that never ended up working out. She was kind of a Chubby kid too??? But she started her growth spurt at like 12 and from there on out she was all legs and she lost some weight too. While she was growing up she got sick a lot which really only helped. Then her mom started teaching her how to fight an she learned that even though she was gaining weight again it was nothing to be upset about and that stuck with her after her mother died. So like now she's still kinda leggy but she ways plenty (it varies depending on how buff she is at any given time) and she's like 5'8 or something which is kind of a lot. She still treats food with some contempt but she basically eats everything at any given meal an then regrets it later. Fi : Fiora was always a well fed kid and she had a pretty laid back life so growing up her body was kind of soft with no must've but eventually when she started throwing her swords around she got these super buff arms and like stick legs and so she had to learn to find a balance but she had this body that gets toned very easily and she's not sure how she feels about that. She has like a gigantic acne problem that started when she was a teen and it just never really ended and while like things are better now if she doesn't keep hydrated she breaks out like crazy but she's the inquisitor so who cares tbh??? She's kind of curvy but her curves don't come in unless she like has been eating (like after one meal it's like food baby) and so basically if she became a chef like she wanted to she'd be pretty sturdily built.

Fi had a bunch of older Mage siblings and she was the tenth and youngest child so she was raised more by her siblings than her family who btw are super religious

How magic shaped fi's life

Growing up Fi witnessed a great deal of magic first hand. Much more than other children in her position would have. Fiora's elder siblings are all mages, which proved terrible luck for her branch of the Trevelyans. Her parents hadn't expected any mages, in fact they'd hoped the maker would let magic skip a generation like it had with her father. the Trevelyans do have mages in their tree and it's hardly a secret, that said they aren't a line of powerful mages and it would have been better for them if the line had died out. When her eldest sister developed signs of magic they delayed her joining the circle as long as possible but gave up and had another child, and another they assumed they were in the clear but magic developed again. It simply bided it's time. Then... They tried for more until finally they had a miracle baby... fiora. Growing up Fiora had siblings who could make fire with the snap of their fingers and send a bookshelf flying if they were upset. rather than being upset by the power or finding it disgusting she was jealous because she couldn't do that, and she felt left out in their games and when they all left to the circle she was even more upset because she felt like she'd been left behind. Growing up she wanted to trigger her magical abilities and went to great lengths. It took her parents years to convince her she had no powers and that she should enjoy the privileges that came with that. She tried to amuse herself with learning to ride horses and spar and hawking but it never made her feel right. She once considered becoming a Templar in order to see her siblings again, but that never went through her parents. She eventually began training in earnest and that's when her family found hot through a friend that had recently called on the circle that Her eldest sister had become a tranquil. They weren't sure what that really meant or why because they weren't mages but they were horrified all the same. Somewhere along the way fiora found out about what it meant to be a tranquil and is determined to fight for their rights / protection. She also feels strongly about blood mages and sees them as misunderstood. Ultimately this is why she likes being the herald of andraste BECuase she always assumed she's get a big magical break.
