The benchmark is literally on the ground, but you don’t care now that you’re finally free. They didn’t ask your plans after graduation, they just assumed that you would stay there with them. You let them, told nobody but your parents your plans to move - you were there with them one day, gone the next and you haven’t looked back since.
It’s not that you didn’t think it wouldn’t piss them off. Oikawa had been deadly serious when he told you once that no matter where you went or what you did, you would always belong to them, it’s just that you didn’t quite think they’d care enough to come and find you. Or that they would even be able to. You changed your number, swore your parents to secrecy, deleted all of your old social media accounts. Your new friends do think it’s a little odd that you don’t really use your phone all that much, but they shrug it off easily enough.
Volleyball, as it turns out, was your downfall once again. It wasn’t like you’d gone running towards the sport at full speed. You still don’t really know how you managed to find yourself wrapped up in managing another team - only that it had involved bribes, copious amounts of begging and a promise from their libero (coincidentally, the first friend you’d made on campus) that they were going to win the championships this year, which would make you the manager of said winning team. You wouldn’t have agreed if you thought they were going to be anything like Seijoh, but they aren’t. Three months in, and they still respect those carefully built walls you’ve surrounded yourself with.
Slowly, very, very slowly, you let yourself thaw around them.
You might not use instagram anymore, but the UTokyo Men’s Volleyball team does. It’s an innocent enough photo they post. The team lined up, grinning like fools and you, their newest manager standing at one end with a shy half smile of your own. #TokyoChampionships here we come!

iwa, my poor, darling iwa. i love him so much and there was no way in hell i was gonna write this follow up without him. but i’ve talked before about his complicated feelings towards the reader. he does try and protect you from the worst of oikawa, but he does definitely have ‘feelings’ of his own towards her. and when you told him that you were going to leave and that you planned on going without even so much as telling him, he was hurt, naturally, but also incredibly pissed off.
he is loyal towards oikawa, but maybe if he didn’t see you as anything other than his best friends girl (willingly or otherwise) he might have kept your secret out of pity or something, but you’re not just oikawa’s girl and he won’t lose you either.
now, whether or not he feels guilty about that, watching oikawa rail you in the middle of an empty classroom, well that’s a different story ;)
Bully pt 2 was absolutely lovely, rhi! i’m going to take a stab and say that iwa is also in love with the reader? If so, why would he tell Oikawa your plans if he knows what he would do to you?

bully gave me CHILLS. every single line was so masterfully written, rhi! Was Iwa there the entire time the ending scene was happening? if so, why didn’t he step in?
because he knew what was gonna happen, and he had no intentions of stopping it - though i will say that knowing about what was gonna happen and actually witnessing it are two very different things. there are a lot of complex feelings at play here - he’s pissed off at oikawa, at you, he’s hurt, more than a little turned on, full of shame and disgust and a little bit of sick satisfaction and there’s a part of him that’s almost relieved that you’re being subjected to this because he knows it’ll make you stay put, even if it breaks you apart entirely so he’s kinda going through it lol
oh my GOD my heart aches for the reader. In part one, Iwa is her savior, and here he is the reason she’ll likely be stuck with the pretty boy bastard forever. is iwa as bad of a yandere as oiks is here?

a little bit of all of the above. and yeah, after this the dynamic between the three of you shifts – you’re still oikawa’s first and foremost, but he’s not against iwa indulging every once in a while

ty nonnie!! i didn’t have the right space for it, but after kohsuke was ripped apart and eaten kuroo stayed by the reader’s side until late in the night, only disappearing when he heard the reader’s parents/search party approaching. they found her lying in pools of blood (and scattered half eaten body parts), shaking and unresponsive – they knew no animal could’ve done something like that. so they knew something lurked in those woods, but considering the reader had repressed the memories, her mom couldn’t just come out and say it <33

I just adore fics like these, outside characters seeing through yandere facades and putting the pieces together. Atsumu’s frustration at knowing something is wrong but not being able to convey it without sounding crazy or jealous (and then exactly that happens), and then his mental agony at realizing he’s right but powerless. Ugh and the piece de resistance was his own inner turmoil at his attraction, it was just *chef’s kiss*. Do you think Atsumu became a bit of a lowkey yandere in his own way just obscured with a savior complex? Poor reader if she ever ends up his clutches, swapping one crazed man for another only Atsumu will never see himself as the bad guy. Thanks for the time and effort you put into such amazing writing!!
poor atsumu, i really put him through the wringer on this one :(( he starts with good intentions, but you know what they say about those haha. i honestly think he’s kinda fucked, because on the one hand he has everybody telling him he’s being a creeper, making mountains out of molehills, because how could hinata possibly do anything like that? and on the other he’s got hinata who’s not only aware of his suspicions but kinda pushing him to snap but dangling the reader in front of him. which way he falls is kinda up to you, but i think the fact he jerked off to a blowjob she clearly didn’t want says a lot about what he’s willing to (temporarily at least) overlook.

I got chills while reading insidious! It was so amazing. I really appreciated how you wrote that in Atsumu's perspective and made him an unreliable narrator.
It reminds me of the old drabble that you did with BokuAka where they kidnapped their manager and wrote it in Konoha's perspective. In that drabble, while Konoha did act selfishly, I still felt that he was a good person overall.
But in this fic, despite Atsumu claiming that Hinata and y/n's relationship was toxic and wrong, he still felt jealous. He wanted to be in Hinata's place. He wanted what Hinata had with y/n. I don't think his issue with them was because their relationship was toxic (maybe it was in the beginning), he just wanted it to be him who's with her. And that's the brilliance of this fic, seeing not only how unsettling Hinata's relationship was but also seeing Atsumu also slowly becoming obssessed.

Hinata is definitely one of the scariest yanderes because he’s so unsuspecting and who would believe such a cheerful person is capable?!? It was just so well-written, I loved how you wrote Atsumu’s rising suspicions (especially how he can’t really prove anything bc it’s Hinata of all ppl) and his own descent into obsession and everyone’s reaction to him. It was so deliciously twisted and you can’t help but pity reader in what we can assume is her little sliver of hope that she can be saved bc someone finally noticed. Just chills.

The usual suspects was so good! It read so much like a crime novel! For some reason I was suspecting daichi the whole time. I was convinced reader came to him in fear and he just kidnapped her for himself and was now trying to frame Iwa and Oiks.

oh. oh, this is one of the fics where i feel sorry for the reader. trapped between an obsessive, controlling ex and her creepy boss at work- she never had a chance, did she? and i cant help thinking that she fell into the the same mindset as daichi- that iwazumi just cant handle his ego being bruised, that oikawa just wants her for sex. she has no idea how obsessed they are with her, and thats her downfall. and theres daichi (who i loved in this fic), but i dont think he can find anything
and makki! i did not see makki coming. how did he get roped into this? is the reader being held at his house, at least temporarily? does he, at least, feel any guilt? sorry if im being annoying, but i loved this fic so much and i have so many questions.
it would’ve been hard enough to escape just one of them; the two together and poor reader never had a chance :(( as far as makki goes he’s an absolute piece of shit too. he genuinely likes the reader - out of all of iwa’s friends he was probably the one she got along best with, but makki’s morally grey at the very best, and he’d do anything for his friends. does he feel guilty? not really, after all she’s better off with the two of them anyway.

!!! thank you so much, for once i’m actually really happy with the ending haha. as far as what the boys did to drive away her friends, for some of them it was enough to start spreading nasty rumours - you cheated on your finals last semester, you’re fucking one of the professors to get a better grade, and then when details of their own less than exemplary behaviour, things they told you (and only you) start leaking out, it’s easy to trace it back to you. it doesn’t help that you’re pulling away from them either, your new friends demanding so much of your attention. and for those loyal, dedicated few, threats finish up the job nicely.

Miscommunication stories always frustrate me the most because if people just got together and talked it would be all solved. But the way you set this up.
