Natla's zutara bait is starting to feel like some kind of cruel initiation ritual for shippers who didn't watch the show until after it ended (myself included).

From what I've seen, we're all sitting around like "maybe this time? Maybe it'll make sense?? They've included all this stuff, so maybe it'll finally happen???" Meanwhile the ogs are watching us with haunted expressions like

This feels like a good time to remind people that Zutara is a Pirate Ship. That means we don't need canon. We don't need authorization. We don't need anyone's approval to love this pairing. I know there are obnoxious canon purists who are obsessed with us and can't leave us alone, but that's okay. If us shipping our ship pisses them off, we can consider that a side benefit to being part of the most enduring part of the fandom.

I just realized that for Katara to be the narrator of the entirety of atla, that means that she would have had to sit down with Zuko and have him tell her EVERYTHING about his journey. All of his actions and inner thoughts and feelings during his time in banishment and as a traitor in the Earth Kingdom and when he was back in the FN. He trusted her with all of the bad parts of himself and all of his past mistakes and all of his inner turmoil and she really listened and wanted to listen. She got to know him better than anyone i guess
