the term “canon” is an interesting one. i feel its too strict a lot of the time with way too many double standards.
#coding can be canon. maybe canon isnt smth always in the face. canon isnt some kind of finish line#its just... a thing#why is 2 hetties looking at each other considered canon chemistry but coding of an entire lesb relationship is... not#i dont believe in 'wait before jumping the gun' i just believe in telling ppl whether its openly discussed vs. kinda hush hushed#'its canon until its not. or its canon vs. its openly canon'#fiction... very nuanced#controversial take i think even within the community. im cynical as well but i like to not approach things with cynicism.#i think theres a difference between being naive and just kind of not being cynical and taking it as it is.. like you would w/ anything else
