oh my god sometimes I forgot people ship cluke 😭 people really be twisting two characters into perversions of themselves to make one a pedo,, if you ship cluke you gotta go like your fandom card is being revoked and you are no longer allowed to enjoy anything for the rest of your life
As much as I love Shaun the Sheep, it does have its flaws and episodes that…let’s just say aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. Personally, there are only two I can say that I really don’t like: Dodgy Lodger (which is disliked by a lot of fans) and Farm Park.
Man I hate Farm Park
Why? Why, you ask? Well buckle up, buttercups cuz I can and will write an essay on this disappointment to Farmer fans bc wow was our boy done DIRTY
It’s not the concept of the episode. I honestly think it’s fine if the Farmer wanted to get a little extra cash and let people pay to interact with his animals. The first half of the episode was actually really cute, especially the scene with Shaun and Shirley. But then it goes downhill not because of what the Farmer did, it’s what he DIDN’T do.
Because the Farmer loves his animals. He treats them well, especially the sheep cuz he raised them since they were lambs. But from what I saw, he seemed to only care about money than the wellbeings of the sheep and chickens. And that, people, is ooc even for him
The customers were the main conflict of the episode. A bunch of kids and their parents. I get it, kids are kids, but the fact that they were borderline mistreating the animals was hard to watch. One moment, Shirley’s living the life by getting belly rubs, but then there’s a little girl petting Shaun a little too roughly. Not cool, but it’s not exactly abusive and could be stopped with a gentle reminder. No biggie. Then a boy starts overfeeding Timmy. Do you have any idea how dangerous that is?! You don’t overfeed an animal, let alone a baby animal! I’m not kidding, they seriously could have killed him! It only gets worse when kids are riding on Shaun and Nuts (smh they’re sheep, not horses AND SHAUN IS THIN AF IT’S A MIRACLE HE DIDN’T BREAK HIS SPINE) and the same boy is chasing Timmy and treating him more like a toy than a living being.
But it’s the chicken scene that pisses me off.
The chickens’ job for their attraction is to lay eggs for the kids to collect. Seems harmless, until you realize that A.there are no rules for that station unlike with the other animals and B. kids are taking more than one egg at a time AND not being very careful with them. It gets to the point where the chickens are too exhausted tolay any more eggs, causing a kid to cry, their POS dad to get angry and demand an egg, and resulting in the Farmer making a fox puppet to scare them into forcibly laying eggs which is later used by the kid. And now it’s borderline abuse.
Farmer even enables this abuse of his other animals just to appease the parents. What the Farmer SHOULD have done was set clear boundaries. One rule was literally all he had to write and tell everyone: Be nice to the animals and treat them the way you wanna be treated. That’s literally it. Now granted, he did post ‘do and do not’ signs for most of his animals but the problem is that he didn’t enforce them. BITZER was more or less the only one trying to enforce the rules. If the Farmer noticed how his animals were being mistreated and trying to stop it, then I’d forgive him. But did he do that? Nooooo he was wearing noise-cancelling headphones and counting money while the sheep were being borderline abused (okay to his credit, he CAN be seen trying to enforce the rule with Mower Mouth by chasing the wagon ride but then he just gives up). He acted like a coward more than an owner. The animals had to fake being sick to scare the families off. It wasn’t cool.
Like since when did the Farmer become so greedy? That’s NOT our boy. That’s NOT the good-hearted protective Farmer from the movie. Where was that Farmer? Where was his spine like when he yelled at Trumper for hurting his sheep?! I wanted THAT Farmer, man!
If I were to rewrite the episode, I would have made the Farmer try to enforce the rules more with Bitzer. Key word is try because the families don’t listen to him when he’s like “oh no please don’t do that!” His methods aren’t working but they at least show he cares about the wellbeing of his animals. Even more, I would make Farmer look apologetic and actually work with his animals to drive out the parents. Like he’s the one that puts on the fake spots like “oh no look my sheep have all gotten ill because of you lot guess you’ll have to leave” 🖕 I think it’s much better than making him a people-pleaser
I’m actually currently writing a fanfic where the Farmer gets a reality check after the events of his episode because I refuse to believe Shaun and the others weren’t pissed at him (which is more than valid). Farmer owed them a massive apology after the shit they went through.
TLDR: This episode has animal mistreatment and I don’t vibe with that
Sometimes I just need that little forehead bump of affection, followed by a forehead kiss, and the reassurance of my grouchy, handsome husband with the big nose, telling me:
"Ya know, ya may think you ain't perfect, but you're perfect for me."
If you catch anyone calling Penny or Carrie a bitch (or any female tawog character, but especially if they’re a 12 y/o) YOU NEED TO RUN!! THEY ARE A RAGING MISOGYNIST!!!!!!
I loved satoru back in 2020, loved him last year, loved him last month, loved him so much last wk, I loved him yesterday, loving him right now, I will love him tomorrow and I will definitely love him forever.
Thought having 2 friends from the same fandom who have the same birthday at Feb 21st was a funny coincidence. But then there’s Thistle who has the same birthday (even though hes a fic character). Lmaoooo
I haven’t prepared anything for these 3 precious angels of mine… soon. Hope I can make it.
