So many choices without knowing who to bow down to... but here goes. I took the liberty of filling in the gap.

Bow Down to the Queen

With the Feroce pushing and further and further into Esmya, young queen Kanna has no other choice but to capitulate, and she strikes a deal with their leader Crisenth. By agreeing to marry him, she has assured herself a permanent place within the royal castle.

Determined to find a way to rid these barbarians from her home, Kanna delves deep into the castle’s secrets. Secrets hidden there by her ancestors; magic and long-forgotten artifacts. Power that will allow her to fight back.

Only who is her true enemy? Crisenth and his Warband? The other Feroce knocking on their gate for a piece of the conquered lands? Or perhaps, her enemy can be found closer to home, within her own court?

Kanna will have to break her own rules if she wishes to save her beloved Esmya but she will remind all why she is queen.

The Wrong Side of Night

Lucie has grown up believing all Daylighters were good and all Nightlighters were bad. But when she finds one such Nightlighters badly hurt on school grounds, she can’t do anything but help him. She never thought it would bring the Dawn Forces to her doorstep.

Duff has grown up in the night but yearns to live in the day. After his parents were executed for daylight trespassing, the resistance found him and took him in. They taught him all Daylighters are bad. But how bad can the girl who saved his life really be?

When the resistance hijacks a night-time prison convoy, Duff never expected to find his Daylighter girl among the prisoners. Her crime? Helping him.

When the resistance frees her and Lucie finds herself face to face with the boy who got her in all this trouble, she wants nothing more than to return to the light-filled world she has left behind. But the more Duff tells her, the more she learns about the world, the more convinced she is these Nightlighters only fight for what is right.

And she might just be able to give them the edge they need to turn the tides.
