henry knew she probably looked like some high-tech heroin addict, but the power had been out in her building for days and the half-finished tattoo on her thigh was driving her crazy. so she’d gathered up her things and found a working outlet for her gun—it just happened to be in the alley behind her building. she was so caught up in tattooing the last of the leaves on her thigh that she ignored the footsteps approaching her. but when they didn’t pass through the narrow alleyway, and instead stopped right in front of her, she paused to glance upwards. “i’m aware of how ridiculous this looks,” she mused, turning her attention back to her work. “an’ if you’re comin’ out to yell at me for stealin’ your electricity or somethin,’ don’t bother. i’ve got two more minutes an’ i’ll be outta’ here,” she shrugged. “and I don’t think pissin’ off a chick with a needle is really a good idea.”
