Muay Thai Fighter.
Ancient fighting style from the Kingdom of Siam with plenty of ritual traditions. Spectators are often over-anxious for the fight to begin, so these rituals seem somewhat unnecessary.
Muay Thai fighters wear a traditional, sacred headband called a Mongkol, which is removed before the fight. The Mongkol is a blessed item that brings spiritual protection, good luck, and represents respect for the gym and trainer.
Fighters also often wear armbands called Pra Jiad as well. Interesting how peaceful their ring ceremonies can be, and right before all hell breaks out as the fight begins.
