wait it was your birthday? happy birthday!!
it was!!! Thank you! :DDD
oo, i love your world building headcannons and this ask game sounds so cool! if you’re still doing it, here’s my skin. i usually picture them with like a sprout on top of their head
Oooooh so you'd be a plant :0 then you're part of the spectre group, even tho at first glance you look a lot like a blob as well (because of the simplicity and cute look) ^^
14 and 21 for the ask game?
14. Write and share the first sentence of a new fic. Just that.
Grian was going to kill him, bury that self-satisfied smirk beneath the hundreds of layers of his own mountain and tapdance over his grave.
21. Can you accurately predict how long your fics are going to be? If you can, what's your secret?
Dear lord no. I get a brain worm and write and write and write and then I throw it out the front door like a freshly hatched butterfly. If the crows scream at me enough, I’ll order more caterpillars.
hey skitty! i’m going on a trip tomorrow and i was wondering if i could request some fic reca(specific desert duo/scarian) to stave off the boredom lol. i hope your having a good day!
I hope you have a good trip, fig!! I’ll be honest, I haven’t actually read any desert duo fics for MONTHS so it’s the same old fics I always rec haha
from @aviangrian : tiny tangerine speckles painted in your eyes, did anybody ever say no to you?, and Honestly, Truthfully, and Sincerely he’s my favorite desert duo writer so I like to recommend his fics a lot haha
I’m really loving Innocent Or Not by @electricboomerang which is an ongoing fic about Techno and Tubbo finding themselves in third life while looking for Micheal. It has really strong characterization and I’m very excited to see Scar in the next chapter!!
Have you read this fic by @bdoubleo1000 ??? Idk if it’s downloadable since it’s on tumblr but it’s good
I love this fic more than anything!! It has such interesting characterization and I love the author’s writing style!!!
Uhhhh there’s This Is The Way The World Ends, literally any and all of @bananasofthorns fics, (and my own of course) but I don’t think I have anymore for you!
If anyone else has any fics I didn’t mention, feel free to add to this post!
etho and bdubs owns a competing shop across the street but it isn’t very successful because bdubs will occasionally just scream and yell at customers and etho has to hold him back so they don’t lose anymore customers
kabskahakahakba this au is so good
your tma reblog streak inspired me to actually start listening to tma but it's so good. i was obsessed with horror as a child so it's perfect for me! pro tip though, don't listen to tma while you're trying to sleep
my job here is done uwu
nah, the full experience IS to listen to it on your bed at 3am :>
oo wait can I get the full wip for scar and grian have an angry conversation on hermitcraft?
Absolutely!
The sun was setting on the Boatem Village. It was quiet— unnaturally so. Grian took a short flight around the village, taking stock of his neighbors. Mumbo was out of sight,— never out of mind— Grian laughed softly at the realization that Mumbo still hadn't restocked his End Crystals. In the distance, Grian could see Impulse moving around working on his factory. Pearl was nowhere to be found. But… her disappearance didn’t matter to him.
Not truly.
Even if all of Boatem was missing he wouldn’t care. Because even if Pearl was gone— even if Mumbo or Impulse were gone— the one person he still had a connection to was left.
As long as Scar was there— as long as Monopoly Mountain existed in their memories— he wasn’t alone. If it were up to him, Grian would never let Scar forget. The offer of an alliance left his lips easily— as easily as blood stained his skin.
(An offering of sacrifice— you can kill me— never left his lips. It was a kindness neither of them could afford.)
And…
Grian smiled. Boatem was silent save for the beating of his wings.
There’s a bit of a time skip here, and it cuts to this scene:
It was with excitement (and a half-formed plan) that Grian flew up Scar’s mountains in search of the con-man. Scar stood at the top of the mountain, a quiet mourning in his gaze.
And… for a moment Grian considered being kinder. Considered laying a gentle hand on his back and declaring that Monopoly Mountain could be a team again. He would apologize.
And… he almost did. He laid a hand against Scar’s shoulder, only for Scar to flinch away from him.
It was too late for apologies, now.
But—
“I’m sorry,” Grian whispered. It was an apology— but for all the wrong things. He knew it was the wrong thing to say. Maybe he should have started asking for an apology. He was sure he could get Scar to apologize for something.
Scar’s quiet mourning began to burn away, a fierce anger replaced it. Scar gritted his teeth. His hands balled into fists.
He was holding himself back. From what?
Scar sighed. His hands relaxed. He slumped forward, looking Grian dead in the eyes.
“You left.” It was a quiet accusation. Almost a question. He was tempted to give excuses, but Scar knew him better than that.
In the silence, Scar looked into Grian’s eyes pleadingly. He wanted the truth. He wanted an apology.
Grian scoffed under his breath.
“You left me to die.” Scar seemed more… disappointed than angry. He must have seen it coming ever since that first life.
The wind whipped against his hair. A chill set into his skin. Anger kept him warm.
“I was making a trap with Joel!” Grian defended, anger slipping into his voice. Scar stared at him, confusion overcoming his anger. “What? Did you expect me to trip over myself trying to protect you?”
Grian paused, his anger fading into satisfaction.
“You did, didn’t you?” Scar couldn’t look away from him. Grian grinned. “You thought I’d abandon the Southlands— abandon Joel… for you?”
Grian laughed. Loud and mocking. Scar grimaced at the sound. He glanced away from Grian to look toward the skyline. Miles away, he could see Scar’s starter base. The wagons he worked on between sessions of loneliness and betrayals.
Grian couldn’t help but smile.
Scar’s weakness had always been his heart. His ability to care— to love. Grian had lost that a lifetime ago; when Scar laid a No-Kill Pass on the ground and killed him without remorse.
Scar had stolen Grian’s heart.
An eye for an eye.
After this there’s little snippets of things I wanted to include like metaphors and lines
The moon was rising. The stars formed a halo behind Scar’s head.
Scar burned bright with anger. A meteor, burning up in orbit. A cold clarity settled into his skin. Grian couldn’t look away from him.
Scar’s eyes burned with anger. Something new and alive and passionate.
If Grian were a kinder man,
