Peep The Streets
Never has the city felt such a surge of young urban collectives assembling with the intent to manifest, create and contribute towards music, lifestyle and art. The city is teeming with the a mosaic of colourful youthful individuals that are birthing the culture of the current era defining the present, paying homage to the past and building pillars for an innovative tomorrow. Periodically here at PeepThaSteez we show love to what has truly caught the attention of our 5 senses. We thrive on working with individuals across the GTA that access their imaginations to contribute fresh creative content.
This brings us to the primary focus of this post on two collectives we’ve been feeling as of late. Introducing, TAKOVR. A downtown based group of individuals that have had Friday nights on smash at Weldon and La Porte.
TAKOVR EVENTS: Spinning the flyest shit your ear drums can absorb, their parties are an excellent environment to mingle, network and take in everything dope the radio neglects. TAKOVR ART: We showcase modern and contemporary artwork that strives to find the equilibrium of order & chaos with creation & destruction incorporating elements of hyper realism in 3D graphic form. Last but certainly not least, we arrive at FIF. Fuckin Intelligent Fucks, a Toronto street wear collective that has garnered our attention has been creating urban lifestyle garments that capture the colourful metropolis that is the 6ixside. Provocative in nature, the clothing styles revolve around the ideology of uniting youth of all creeds and this can be seen represented through their garments laced with symbolic emblems of the major world religions. Their garments reflect a tribute to the cultural metropolis that is The Tdot. Music is another aspect FIF focuses on with their member Humble Child’s upcoming album being released soon. You can explore music, clothes and art from more FIF members via the link below. Follow up and stay tuned for more Pop-Up shops and events where you can purchase said fly gear.
