AKA whitestem filaree.

A weedy short-lived geranium native to much of Eurasia and North Africa but now a weed everywhere else. The seeds are easily caught in animal fur, but if the spring-like coil is anything like some of Australia's native grass, it also acts to drill the seed into the ground as it dries out and is re-moistened.
