".... Here goes."
Festivals of early spring were such a chore to prepare for. Someone in those southern lands had to spread the idea that as soon as the snow melted, you had to reignite passions with gifts, after a long, blustery winter indoors. In his own opinion, if you were cooped up with someone for three months in the northern continents without either of you dying, you deserved the time apart if so wished. Though. He hadn't spent the winter with the lovely lady of pastries. But it didn't seem like it would've been so bad, especially inside the bakery, next to some warm ovens and... other things. She was a lady, though. She deserved more than that sort of treatment, and acting as though he didn't have a warm enough place to be was beneath him.
So, in the spirit of the event, he had created something that'd taken a little of his time. Though he wasn't a blacksmith, the forge was still something he had to spend time around because of his profession- and hopefully, he didn't spend hours in front of those hot coals with a subpar result. Dressed in simple clothes, he tucks the vase and flowers under his arm... and knocks firmly, loudly on her door.
