the concept: whitaker slowly picking up some tagalog while living with santos and eventually being able to listen in on what her, Perlah and Princess are gossiping about. after some time, they realise he understands what they're saying (dennis accidentally gasped when he heard them share something juicy) and then start to include him in their chismis circle. turns out dennis likes queening out a little every now and then with them. dennis' pronunciation needs a lot of work but he knows enough to get by. Eventually, he becomes fluent enough to speak tagalog with patients. Being able to connect with patients in that way gives him a sense of purpose and he starts trying to learn other languages to improve his bedside manner
