Today we got some amazing news from the Great White North. The film that I shot for Jsf Hsu in Taiwan called 'Guo Mie' just received the Air Canada Short Film Award from the 2017 Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival. - - Here's the review from the Jury: --------------------------- 孤味 Guo Mie by Joseph Chen-Chieh Hsu This film is a beautiful, complex portrait of a matriarch saying goodbye to a lost love, hello to his new girlfriend and the family dynamics in the wake of his death. It will make you hungry for her shrimp rolls and want to ride in a karaoke cab with her.
