“Fried IceCream”

This short film comes from Atlanta-based House of June, who were featured on #FilmmakerFriday (read their interview here). Some fun rewards for donating include buttons, mixtapes, and t-shirts.
FRIED ICECREAM follows AKEEBAH & SLOAN, two mix-matched peas in a pod living and finding self in the summer solstice of inner-city Atlanta. Faced with ultimatums by their parental figures and Sallie Mae to work summer jobs to afford their last semester in college, they arbitrarily become ice-cream truck drivers in West End Atlanta. Quirky adventures ensue when their entrepreneurial spirits become hallucinogenic.

This multi-hyphenate pair will have their new indie film Growing Up and Other Lies screening at the Delsea Drive-In TOMORROW as part of the Drive-In Film Festival! This film is a must see, and boasts an all star cast including Adam Brody, Amber Tamblyn, Josh Lawson, Lauren Miller, and Wyatt Cenac.
