　　　　It all began when Shouto was found wandering all alone at a young age. He was hungry and he tried to steal bread from the bakery simply to survive. Being chased by the owner, the boy ran into Lyon whom he saw as a savior. Though the man was kind to him, fed him and decided to shelter him while he was trying to find his family or find someone who could take the boy under their wing, Shouto was afraid he’d bring him back to his family what made him pretty closed and silent at first. It didn’t let Lyon get any information about Shouto’s past. The man knew his first name and his age, but it was all the boy told. Nothing about his family, the scar on his face or why he was alone. He told he didn’t remember anything else, but still, it was a question if it was true. Though Lyon didn’t really tried to find it out not to make their relationship more complicated.

　　　　 Time passed, they both had to go through a lot of trouble, but finally they got used to each other, however, Shouto still was waiting for the moment when Lyon told him to leave his house till he found out he could stay. Seeing Lyon as a parental figure who helped him grow up, Shouto was really happy because of it. After that, Lyon agreed to teach him magic and since that he became an ice-make mage in training. 

still, he doesn’t talk about his past because he thinks he doesn’t need to remember the life he had when he was a child when he got the life that was much better

because of his past and the burn scar on his face Shouto’s afraid of fire. As an attempt to get over it he tries to learn fire magic with Jellal

he met Lyon when he was about 10

he’s about 15-16 at the end of the manga

still, he’s socially awkward, though it’s much easier to talk to people and get along with them in this verse than in his main verse

he found a dog and named him Hakashi

though people around Shouto sometimes call the dog Gray Jr
