All the Bright Places: Am I mentally or emotionally ill?
I actually finished the book a month ago or so, this is just my reflection after.
When i finished the book, i feel terribly pained i thought i would never understand why finch did that, until i come up with the thinking of: maybe theodore finch did that because he cannot cope with that average of suffering, he cannot get out of the labyrinth or maybe he thought that when he goes to a different universe he might find what he is looking for, that maybe, just maybe he’ll fit in there.
“…that a person, although loved may not be able to overcome a lot of suffering, due to what he experienced in the past and how he looked differently in the future.”
Many person takes their life due to the thinking that; they are not love, no one cares for them, no one will cry when they leave because they think, it’s just Theodore Finch who’ll leave, no one special. Those person who are in the verge of killing themselves or in the ledge, couldn’t think well because they are emotionally unstable, they’re in the labyrinth in which they don’t see light, just darkness. That’s why they don’t know that there are a lot of person who cares for them, they don’t know that there’s a lot of person that will grieve when they leave, because somehow for the rest of their existence they made someone happy, and that someone might take a lot of time to get over to their loss.
