Updated front of the doughnut shop

This is what the front looks like now after making some changes based on the feedback I got the other day, I changed the line work to edit the perspective slightly so that now hopefully the eyeline is correct and I also re-did the doors opening at a different angle that makes more sense.

I added the purple hues in the sky more and to the shadows to really tie it in with the city  and hopefully make it clearer that its the same building.

Finished front of shop

This is the finished front of the shop design. Honestly I hate it, I think its because of the sky but I’m not sure how to fix that at this moment, I’ve tried different techniques....

I didnt think the sky matched the rest of the shading and colouring style, it just feels really out of place. So i settled on a combination of all.....

I’m still not 100% with it but in the actual animation you wont be seeing much of the sky anyways as it will be zoomed in. I just think this looks a bit boring and simple but I’m going to leave it as it is for now due to lack of time.

finished city BG design.

Today I finished off my city design, I started by adding in some shadows and highlights including finishing off the grass.

I blocked in the shadows using the lasso tool then turned down the opacity and added some extra shadow layers for depth.

Then I added highlights over the top and moved onto the grass. I looked at how they shaded in Steven Universe, Total Drama Island and other animated shows, In the end I downloaded some free grass photoshop brushes that really helped add some extra texture to the grass..

This is the finished BG design, overall I’m really pleased with the turn out of this background, I put allot of work and detail into it.

After Jon’s feedback the other day I painted the walls and backgrounds like how he suggested and then just added my over layers of blood that I had already made so I was really only a  case of adding another layer over the walls and floor.

I also quickly worked on the hallway design based on johns feedback and just adjusted the size of the brush on the wall to make it less textured and in your face...

I still need to work on the tone of the red blood in the birth room but overall I’m really pleased with how these turned out.
