Ursa tapped her double on her hand, snapping her out of whatever trance her drink had her under. "Did you hear me Nova?" she asked.
Nova blinked, and shook her head. "Nope, not a word Urs. Repeat it?" The space entity sighed and replied, "Are you actually happy for Grillby and me?" Nova snorted. "Of course I am! Why would you think I'm not?"
Tapping the edge of her glass, Ursa said, "W-well, I'm not sure if you like Fellby or not...so I d- I didn't want to make you feel bad if I got tog-" Her darker sky twin interrupted with a "I don't like Fellby." That took her back. "You don't?" Nodding, Nova started sipping at her drink again.
Ursa furrowed her brow in confusion, and asked, "If you don't mind, why not?" Sighing and leaning back, Nova set her head against the back of the seat. "He...just fits into place." "What?" She groaned in frustration and continued, "It's hard to explain, but everyone in the Underground had a role to play. Sans was the Sentry, Undyne was the Captain, and Fellby owned the local diner. Everything and everyone had it's place, and that's still in play up here."
Nova stopped, thought for a moment, and laughed. "Hell. I'm pretty sure if the war was still going on everyone would have the same roles their parents had." After a beat, Ursa asked, "Are we stuck in a role?"
There was a moment of silence between the two, and then Nova replied, "No. When we left that hell house when we were thirteen, we broke out of the fucked up role we were forced into."
