clothing design is my passion (frogvoice)

I definitely struggled a lot but I did have fun in the end! Designing clothes from three separate cultures was an interesting challenge (especially when you’re working with limited canon examples that you agree with). I can’t decide whether Finn or Ahji gave me the most headache - on one hand designing primarily leather and fur clothes for a very warm climate is a fuck, but on the other hand pattern design is my god damn enemy. Arveyn wasn’t easy either, but since Dunmer have the most examples to take inspiration from and he likes things simple I had a smoother time with his clothes.

I guess a goal for this year (?) is to do some similar clothing design stuff for more of my TES chars.

took a crack at some dog redesigns… In general ESO clannfear look too heavy to me for a creature that is Fast and Agile so lightened them up a tad without stripping them completely. Also un-pronated their wrists for their default position; clannfear being fantasy monsters, I see them as being able to pronate their wrists still, but I personally wouldn’t have that as their default position.

Gutsripper, Sheogorath’s puppy from the Mages Guild questline - Brightened his color a bit and gave him eyespots because why wouldn’t Sheogorath’s dog have fun colors

My Bosmer’s familiar, Banshee - I wanted her markings to have just enough flair to it that she could be distinguished from other clannfear, but not so fancy that she’d stand out.

ive discovered how to use the 3D models in CSP and it has adjustable bodies so now I have Powers. i tend to draw non-human humanoids with Slightly Different Proportions so having even a simple model that has their actual body shape is so much

like this is just standing comparison to start (also bc i wanted to draw Finnedhal and Caennor next to each other for a bit just for visual) but imagine once i think of poses and situations i want to draw and I can just quickly arrange them and not have to search 4ever for an existing pose reference that may not actually exist

Caennor’s adult height is taller than I realized but thats ok Finn is also just short

The basic rundown of my Bosmer’s diets is that Finn and Eri/the rest of their local community only eat animal products and tentatively honey as a special treat (as it has been processed by an animal and therefore is an animal product). This also includes arthropods. Caennor on the other hand mostly sticks to meats but also ate a pastry at 11 without fully understanding the ingredients and he never fucking looked back fuck the green pact or whatever he’s not giving up apple pie. He does not eat arthropods under a certain arbitrary size threshold because bugs are gross

Finn needs clothes., probably these are all leather, bone or maybe quills of some sort who the fuck knows yet, and the most expensive part of th outfit is proably the dye. green required. i need to read about leather

J’Ahji has Several siblings. Finn is just here for scale for my own reference & also he does need to meet his gf’s family at some point yeah 

Jotava-jo, eldest brother, is a healer. He left to help in Orcrest years ago and hasn’t been heard from since. They figure he died but I, God, am wavering in my decision 

Amiiq, 2nd brother, I have no fucking clue what he does

Shiaba, 3rd in line, is Ahji’s elder sister and usually just helps carry Heavy Shit for work

Jirr is the babiest brother and he is an apprentice carpenter probably. No khajiit calls him S’Jirr yet but he can keep trying with the other races 

They are all varying degrees of Wary about J’Ahji flirting with some bosmer initially. Yes of course she’s just flirting what was that about marriage? No we must have misheard. Can you imagine
