"Those old scraps of outdated junk? I replaced them with only the biggest and best steam machinery on the market today dude."

"Shit really?"

"Yeah man, new copper alloy pipes. They're whisper quiet and everything. Like fucking ninjas. Tightest shit you ever did see."

"That's shiny as hell my friend."

A fist bump is shared before the Striders get down to business.

"Damn straight. So you were saying, sword-gun for Harley?"

Dave comes to a stop and places his hands on his knees, trying to catch his breath. Which is probably a shitty idea considering all the toxins that are still floating around in the thick dusty air but fuck it.

"Running sucks some major balls, lemme tell you."

"Yeah, why'd you think I called lookout duty this time?"

"Aw fuck you man, you get to run your ass off next time. Fly like the fucking majestic feathery asshole you are."

Karkat tried to make his way through Sollux's workshop but found it almost impossible. Bulgebiter could stand to clean the place up once in a while, seriously.

"Hey shitsponge, you in here? Do I need to call the troll fire department to pull your ungrateful ass out again?"

"KK, thut the fuck up man, I'm right here." Sollux carefully stepped over a pile of copper tubes and bits of scrap metal. He pulled his goggles up as he went.

"What bringth you and your angry, nubby hornth my way, athhole?"

Karkat pulled a pocket watch from his vest pocket.

"Terezi told me to ask you to fix this for her. She needs it for the next air marshal trial or something." He shrugged. "You know how she fucking is with her justice and shit."

Sollux took the watch and flipped it open, playing around with it for a few minutes before snapping it shut.

"I'll thee what I can do. Come back in like,an hour or thomthing."

Karkat leaned over and papped Sollux's face.

"Don't give me that hoofbeast shit, Captor, I know you can do it in at least twenty minutes or less." He said with one of his most charming smiles.

"Flattery will get you nowhere, KK." Sollux ginned back and flipped Karkat the bird before heading back into the depths of his workshop.

"Bet your nubby ath I can fix it ten minuteth or leth." He said over his shoulder.
