Voltaire has been releasing live recordings (one at a time) for the new album Black Labyrinth.  It’s an unofficial sequel to the Jim Henson movie starring David Bowie.  In Voltaire’s album the protagonist comes to meet Jareth (whom he idolizes) only to find Jareth has died.   The album is Voltaire’s goodbye to David Bowie.  

This particular song is sung by the Firies (the Fire gang) to the protagonist and it’s my favorite one from the album so far, which is funny because Chilly Down is my least favorite part of the original Labyrinth.

To all my new followers, and just the tumblr community in general. Please spare your thoughts for us in Australia. At the moment, we are on fire from coast to coast, and there isn’t an end in sight. Our regional fire support are volunteers and what they are going through is beyond words. Reinforces have arrived from Canada (thank you) but it isn’t over.

Please consider donating to local firefighting organisations in Australia like the rural fire service help volunteer firefighters in Australia who are on social security payments from Centrelink. Their social security payments get cancelled for not turning up to Centrelink appointments even though they were unable to attend appointments due to fighting the bushfires.
