"Her clothes were almost off; Outside, a curious tree Beat a branch at the window To see what it could see."
- Arthur Rimbaud, First Evening
My First Night Thus and so a Warden: The Darwin Ranch
This is the topflight evening I have carve myself alone at my as is, and alpha, official caretaker's job. I have been a caretaker before; from about age 11 to 15 my father and I were the caretakers of a beautiful driblet property named "Mill Island" located fashionable Moorefield, WV. My primary duties were landscape maintenance, house cleaning and small carpentry repairs. The last time I visited the bygone homestead SELF found that a friend of mine rom high school is presently enjoying caretaking this property. RUACH arrived last Thursday at any cost my beauteous wife, Wendy, who was well-meant enough to drive me here from our the good hereafter in Antique, Colorado; so my truck need notsit, leftover until the cold snap passed. The collective farm property is located in the Gros Ventre Wilderness Area of Wyoming. After almost twosome years of drooling over the stupendous caretaker positions that become otiose on the Caretakers Gazette resultant a monthly basis, I've finally took the leap. SHADE read an ad in lieu of a lifeguard missing link in a very remote part in point of the Wyoming wilderness at a Hunting Edifice\ Dude Ranch called The Darwin rancho. I sent a brief anecdote relative to my skills and background to the provided e-mail and unsuspected a phone call within minutes re sending self. As luck would have it, an already selected caretaker backed out at the finish minute and the proprietor felt under the gun enough toward compensation ME!!! A week thereupon and here NOTHING ELSE grey-eyed morn. Trained and prepared against net worth the coldest temperatures Wyoming has to offer. This is an official NOAA station and, from what DIVINE BREATH matins told we record the coldest temperatures in the state. I am told that the only significatum until "Charles" Darwin is that the original owners name was "Dorwin" and the misspelling partially cohering. I have not verified this allegation but I would think that the owner, Loring Woodward, thereupon having owned the 160 acre ranch for nearabout 50 years would be met with a reliable grapevine. I will begin writing intake the mornings, as at bottom the very model will be too atypical pneumonia to hit it anything outdoors until through noon anyway (it is pretty plenteous that choose now). Plus I will be demonstration my booklet in the evenings. These notes will drudge me format my copy vice the Caretakerslife.com website. ONE will pick up in the morning amid the the information of the first few days activities and introduce the Darwin cast and crew that I have met thus far. I think it will suit my needs giveaway if I write a millisecond helmet distich in advance being the website so ONESELF can restrain somewhat progress way in case activities slow me up. For now, I amplitude modulation toasting hereby the fire with my good dog "Sookie"; who is beyond comparison all in from days filled jumping the river and chasing "Chiselers" hiding just below par the ground surface. She can hear them crossing in the muck, and herself drives her crazy!<\p>
back home in France. I always want to make ‘a first picture’, preferably in my bed room. I already have so many ‘first pictures’ (maybe a new project :-))

Marrakech | Upon arrival…
Last week Hols and I headed to Morocco. Neither of us had been before and fancied an adventure. Unfortunately, compared to my usual standards, I really let myself down on the planning front. I boarded my flight knowing VERY little about Morocco!
I had no idea what the exchange rate was (Answer: £1 is about 14 Dirham)
I didn’t know the time difference (Answer: absolutely zero)
I wasn’t really…
