Sleep is a basic human need. During sleep important processes take place in the body. The brain processes the Experiences of the day. In the Hessian firefighting academy in Kassel where up to 500 people are housed in a large hall, is quiet sleep difficult. BAHNEN is a free hanging fabric sheet, which is placed over bunk beds like a tent. It is flexible and two sleeping sections have peace, privacy and allows a retreat. Hanging on a strip system, the sleep protection is installed quickly. There are two bars, one hanging on the strip system and one parallel to the bed, both are connected with a cord. Through the weight of the Textile which is placed over the parallel bar, stretches the cord down and tares itself to the lowest point. BAHNEN can be reproduced with simple resources and does not require „big“ tools. It is designed for easy and low cost production in workshops.

The Privacy Box is a lockable box, designed for refugee Camps, where the personal belongings, valuables and important documents can be accommodated.

They can be produced at low cost by its simple cut in large numbers. Subsequently, the box can be assembled in workshops in the first reception centers, together with the local people. The selected format allows it to sit on the boxes or to push them under the bed. Additionally, a handle is fixed on the back, which can also be used as a hanging system. With this, the box can be suspended on each side of the bed, or on the wall with the respective counterparts. After staying in the first reception center, the privacy box will be passed in its original state. Thus the box can still be customized as one side of the box is painted with blackboard paint. Documents and other papers can findd space inside the box. Through a simple fabric inlay the necessary protection is provided.
