Tristyn had an odd feeling of being watched. Well, Nazario was always watching her, but this felt different. She stuck her hand in her pocket and pulled her Digivice out, clutching it like her life depended on it. To her surprise, there was a dot on the screen that indicated another Digivice was nearby.
She looked around. Where there was another Digivice, there was another Digidestined. Where there was another Digidestined, there was another Digimon. Tristyn sensed Nazario’s presence nearby, he was remaining invisible under an illusion but he seemed to have come to the same conclusion.
“Friend or foe?” He whispered.
“I don’t know,” Tristyn whispered back, “Just stay hidden unless I’m in trouble, okay?”
Busy making a plan for what might happen when the mystery owner of the other Digivice showed up, Trisyn didn’t look where she was going and shrieked when the ground vanished under her feet. Not that she wouldn’t have been equally surprised if she had been paying attention, the ground literally vanished and suddenly she was falling down a cliff. “Tristyn!” Nazario reappeared and jumped after her.
But Tristyn landed before he reached her. Landed on someone, she scrambled off the figure, “I’m so sorry, are you alright!?”
