"You've got you and me..." Skullgirls webtoon episode 14
Parasoul, the princess of the Canopy Kingdom follows a trail of misery and murder throughout the city of New Meridian to uncover the crimes
Way late but I finally checked out what is now last weeks Skullgirls webtoon episode. Ms Fortune and the Fishbone Gang's big heist and it was glorious.
The Fishbone gang gets to show off just how skilled they really are with their perfect plan that and flawless execution. Still think that fish person and puffer fight person would make an adorable couple maybe. Love that Ms Fortune is the one to take the life gem from Lorenzo, going full stealth master burglar and using the sound of the shower and the song to sneak in and take it right from his neck.
Speaking of the song, that was a perfect way to incorporate the Skullgirls credits song into the comic and I lost my mind when it showed up. This also means that In A Moment's Time is a canon song in the Skullgirls universe itself which is really cool. Getting to see more of Ottoman was pretty neat because he's quite an underused character and I wonder if he'll ever become playable if Skullgirls is still adding more characters after Marie.
I'm also going to assume that Eliza appearing in the magazine that Lorenzo was looking might be a hint as things to come which would be cool. Although they put a credits at the end of this episode? I mean this doesn't feel like the end because we at least have to see the result of the fight at the casino and what Marie is going to do to Maplecrest. But they put the song in this one and the credits and they don't usually have the credits like that. It's unclear but hopefully there's more because this comic is incredibly good.
All around this was a really good episode that answered some big lore questions like how did Lorenzo get really old, and it really was from loosing the life gem. It was also really cool to see how the big heist was pulled off by the Fishbone gang, stuff that's only really been talked about but never actually shown until now.
