Love for him is love for me
i love funny poses in office aus
I've been mulling over this idea for a while now: Jopson is this totally default plus-one for Crozier, that he brings along to every new relationship, and Fitzjames absolutely wasn't expecting such a twist, but Jopson seems sweet and polite, so well... okay, let's assume pets are allowed. At first, he treats Jopson a bit cattily in his signature regal style, but Jopson takes it as a given, which is bad enough. Worse still, Crozier treats his cold, haughty attitude toward Jopson as totally normal too! Fine for him, James, but if he had a Jopson like that, he wouldn't let anyone hurt him. Tom is such a sweet and obedient sub who responds to everything with "yes" or "with pleasure," and at first Fitzjames doesn't realize how bad it really is - until he asks him to do something deliberately humiliating and impossible, thinking that Jopson will obviously refuse and he'll just hurt his feelings. But Tom carries it out uncomplainingly, almost with joy - and Crozier just watches it all calmly! It's unbearable, and James isn't some cruel guy by any means, so listen, I have no idea what's going on here, but I'm taking this little pet for myself. Now he's got the best owner in the world, who'll spoil him rotten exclusively, and you, Francis, should be ashamed of yourself.
thanks to @entereii I understood fitzjopson and im black butler about it
I love how praise kink shows up differently in different characters. Little looks like a neglected, abused child when he's praised - he's all bewildered, doesn't know how to react, awkwardly accepts the praise and has no clue what he'd need to do to ever earn that kind of extraordinary treatment again.
Fitzjames thrives on praise, embracing it with effortless grace, genuine pleasure, and polished tact. Sure, he might enjoy it a bit too obviously, or expect it a bit too visibly, but who could possibly deny him compliments! What kind of heartless captain would do such a thing?
Jopson... Ohhh, Jopson. He thinks he doesn't like being praised. After all, what kind of condescending praise usually goes to an errand boy? He's got every right to say so. His beloved captain tends to deliver approval pretty dryly, but Jopson will swear that's exactly how he likes it.
So when the politically savvy, honey-tongued Fitzjames starts praising him with sincere, adoring generosity, he just freezes in a total daze. His mind reacts all wrong. His body reacts all wrong. He struggles to keep his emotions in check, and their raw intensity leaves him unable to figure out what he's even feeling.
Since he dislikes both losing control of himself and when something unexplainable happens, he decides he doesn't like what's going on.
The more you try to control something, the harder the crash hits. So crying Jopson in Fitzjames's arms will one day learn something new about himself. He might not like that either, but what can you do! Fitzjames anyway won't be stopped.
