This scene does remind me of a game: Disco Elysium
The character wakes up in a strange world with no memory of himself. There is something very important that he has lost. When he touches it, his mind will urge him to remember it, or warn him that he should leave everything behind. This game has a lot of hard-to-understand descriptions... but it has voice acting, and it crystallizes the jumble of thoughts, and you kind of can't tell what you want. Sometimes things get so bad that you break down. what's interesting is that there's an important character there named Dolores.(or NOT)
