from chaoticor/natsu @ lisanna: “Do you have hairspray and a lighter?? I was talking to Master Bob and he said he once made a flamethrower sorta using those supplies and I kinda wanna know what that tastes like.” Was his greeting to one of his oldest friends. But hey, Lisanna was alive and here. Not in Magnolia but — that was okay. As long as she was happy, right? He rubbed the back of his neck and then remembered something suddenly and he reached into his bag and pulled out a box from the local bakery. “Oh! And I got you these, first time visiting and I thought some treats would be nice as a house...apartment wanting gift?”
@chaoticor
It was a lot to process. Natsu’s sudden presence. His request for hairspray and a lighter. The idea of him using said hairspray and lighter to create a flamethrower. Him wanting to eat the fire from said flamethrower. Then of course…the bakery box.
Momentarily stunned, she could only stare at him, blue eyes blinking once, then twice.
A curious frown shaped her lips and she stepped closer. Him turning up out of the blue like this…it made her wonder if she had made the whole thing up. She had been thinking about him lately. Was he really there? She determined the truth by poking his cheek lightly. Satisfied with the reality, she broke into a grin and managed to hug him before taking the box out of his hands and stepping back.
“Hello to you too, Natsu, and thank you, that’s so…sweet of you,” she said, a slight giggle slipping out towards the end. Really, it was rather thoughtful of him, she thought. “Do you want to come in, and we can have these?”
Holding the box carefully with one hand, she held up the index finger of her other as she added, “And no, I don’t have hairspray and a lighter, and…really, I don’t think making a flamethrower from them is a great idea, I mean…”
She scrunched her face and stuck her tongue out briefly. “I’m no expert on fire tasting but…I think that one would just taste like chemicals, wouldn’t it? Not nearly as nice as whatever is in this box, I think.”
Why Master Bob had ever mentioned such an idea to Natsu, she had no idea. Perhaps he’d gotten bored and thought it might be entertaining to watch Natsu’s attempts. She made a futile mental note to keep the two of them from talking again.
“Come on,” she said, starting off already and deciding she’d get Natsu to come inside whether he’d originally intended to or not.
