Bookish Question Photo Challenge: Do you use bookmarks a lot?

I was tagged by @flamingmirror and @trinareadsbooks [and I sincerely apologize that it took me so long to do this!] 

Yes, I pretty much always use a bookmark, and like you @trinareadsbooks, I like to match it with either the color or the theme (or both) of the book. It’s like a fun pre-reading activity :)

I got bored around book 6. But my Goodreads ratings show that I liked the last ones better. I'm waiting to see what you think

I think I also started at about book 6 but the wave kept me going until book 9. Let’s see if I can finish it this time. I did look up who Sookie ends up with and remembered that I was disappointed and unhappy about that ending. Maybe when I read the last three books it will actually develop that way and feel right in the end. I am determined to not loose hope.

Sorry this took me so long to answer, but thank you! ♥

1) The nest of baby birds in my garage who’ve lost most of their baby down and are about ready to take off on their own.

2) Rereading my favorite books.

3) Trying out new baking recipes (I picked up Southern Living Magazine’s new edition on cakes and pies for all seasons at the grocery store and i want to bake ALL THE THINGS)

4) When one of my favorite fanfics updates after a long hiatus.

5) Antique shopping (for teacups specifically of course)

And a couple bonus ones just because:

+1) That short time in early autumn when it finally cools down and all the trees turn colors.

+2) Waking up after having one of those vivid, detailed dreams that sparks ideas for a book and writing it all down in my dream journal.

I know I at least like boys tho, so there’s that…) Nationality: United States Favorite Fruit: raspberries (strawberries are a very close second) Favorite Season: Spring Favorite Book: soooo many… but if I had to pick just one… The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken Favorite Flower: they’re all pretty? Relationship status: single af (the hopeless romantic in me would like to change that, but my brain knows it’s not gonna happen anytime soon)

Favorite color: dark reds and purples

Lipstick or chapstick: well.. when I use either, it’s at the same time… but I guess chapstick?

Last song I listened to: well… depends on if we’re counting the obnoxious songs I have to hear every day while I help with Vacation Bible School or the music I listen to willingly… one of my friends from school put out an EP that I’ve been listening to obsessively

Last movie I watched: just went and saw Wonder Woman with my friends on opening night so that was pretty sweet

Top 3 shows: lately? Quantico, Shadowhunters, and Frontier

Top 3 characters: Magnus Bane (Shadowhunters, both books and show), Diana Prince (mostly from the movie, but I’m sure she’s bomb in the comics as well), Ruby Daley (The Darkest Minds, books and soon to be movie!!!)

Top 3 ships: Rubiam (The Darkest Minds), the odd love triangle that was Jessa/Wessa (The Infernal Devices), Chloe and Derek (Darkest Powers - an old one, but probably my first ship)

Books I’m currently reading: Lord of Shadows, Cassandra Clare (plus a bajillion others that I’m midway through or am holding myself back from starting until I get through all the ones I’ve already started)

No, I never watched that movie. Somehow, it never sounded all that intersting to me (I am not a fan of Robinson Crusoe either).
