Some sketches of various Flatland square interpretations interacting. I wanted to do more, but here is what I have for now...

The Ted Talk (Cale Oglesby) with a single eye is bewildered by the wavy 1965 interation and movements.

The two 2007 Flatland films discussing what their film endings were like. Travis' had a happy ending while Ladd Jr's version made the protagonist speechless and traumatised.

I can now officially say I've watched every major adaptation of Flatland!! :D (+ read the original novel)

Just watched the 1965 adaption of flatland and... Yep its officially my favorite one. I love the narrator/ a square's voice so much its so... Giggly?? The way it was narrated in a square's pov make it seem like hes rambling like a madman currently in prison, cuz he is! Also the way a sphere just appeared and disappeared make it seem like A. Square completely hallucinated him... that aspect is the most interesting for me. Dont even get me started at the animation! I didnt know solid featureless shapes could be so expressive!

Anyway, everyone should watch it NOW make more fanart!! I think this adaptation'w a square is actually my favorite...
