Raphael was Heavens greatest lecturer for a reason.
Or, the one where Gabe led Cas into trouble.

I really like fledgling!cas and big bro!Gabe hahahaha
My headcannon, inspired by Witness-protection-with-wings.
When Castiel was a fledgling he liked to make ‘practice’ nests. He would collect a any of his older brothers’ fallen feathers and any other things of theirs that he found. Then the little Angel would find a warm, comfortable spot and arrange his nest. Cas always chose hidden places to build, because one time Uriel and Raphael had laughed at him.
One day, he was trailing behind Gabriel and Balthazar, when they noticed Castiel picking up their feathers. “Whatcha doin, Cassy?” Gabe asked, kneeling down to peer into blue eyes. Balthazar, stood, smiling down at his two brothers.
Cas blushed and offered the feathers he had collected to his elder brother. “I was…” He tried to think of a good excuse. “I was cleaning up!” Castiel said excitedly, thinking it was the best excuse to use.
Balthazar laughed loudly, grinning at Cas, “Really, Cas, that is what you expect us to believe? You are cleaning up by collecting our feathers?”
Seeing that the fledgling was nervous, Gabriel quieted his brother, “Stop, Balthy, he is obviously afraid to tell us.” The Archangel turned back to Castiel. “You can tell us, baby brother. We promise not to laugh. Right, Balthazar?” The other Angel nodded, looking a little ashamed of his last outburst.
Shifting from foot to foot and sorting through the feathers he was holding, Cas said softly, “I am building a nest….” He almost hoped that his brothers had not heard him.
Both of the older Angels smiled and Gabe picked Castiel up. “Would you like some help, Cassy?” Balthazar walked over, looked at his younger brother curiously, then asked, “Why didn’t you want to tell us?”
“Uriel and Raphael said it was silly and laughed at me….” Cas looked up with sad blue eyes, afraid that Gabriel and Balthazar would agree with their other brothers. He cautiously added, “I would like help…please?”
Gabe and Balthazar looked at each other, silently agreeing to talk to the other two angels later. Setting the fledgling down, the older Angels agreed to help him, show him where to find the best materials, and to guard his nest for him. “They won’t laugh at you again, okay?” Gabe assured him with a hug. “We will take care of you, little brother,” Balthazar agreed.
As Castiel slept in the nest he had made, Gabriel and Balthazar watched over him, protecting the young fledgling.
