It's time for the (almost weekly) 'noph dump, so here I thought I'd share more characters from the Teirn tribe. Tirlag, top, the Teirnlord and main "antagonist," if you will. (And by antagonist I mean that his goals are in conflict with Adelaide, Nharath, and... anyone who isn't Teirn. He has some soft spots, though.
Second are some attempts to keep Fleir from resembling Reivig (or Tirlag, for that matter. If you forget who is who, look to see if they have both ears (Fleir has one) and if they do have both, Reivig has a box for a head, as demonstrated quite literally.
I'd been doing some overhaul to the novel's plotline as of late, and upon developing a side concept, realized that the effects of this were trickling all the way down to the ending. So I changed it! And so far, I like the newer conclusion better. The brush pen sketch came out of one of these potential end scenes, where Fleir gets the other ear ripped off... but by Tjardek, or someone else?
I am tired, I've been up for over 20 hours, and I don't make any sense. (I imagine folks who don't follow this blog for pallanophs are like "who the fuck is this and what the fuck and it's not a wolf so it's lame and why and I don't care ugh1!1" in that exact sort of dialogue. Because Tumblr. Goodnight!)
'Noph bomb!
Trying to break out of the usual static sketch-fests I usually post here. Also, other characters! Yay! (Finally, a Sorstan-free post. Wow.)
Top: Tjora is about to bring the pain to Eberhard, a woodsman-turned-mercenary for his friend, none other than Tirlag the Teirnlord. WHO I NEED TO FOKKING DRAW (again). I'm aware the composition is garbage, but the crease in the sketchbook middle kept me from really going there. Picture a battle, kay? (Also, human faces, practice, yes.)
Second: Slightly outdated Reivig sketch. Practicing his moves? I forgot he was left handed here. Boo.
Third: Eww, Fleir. The closest character I have to pure antagonist. I don't know what the origins of her issues are, but she's gross. I'm still not entirely certain how I feel about her face, but that'll work itself out with time.
Last: Tjora collage, pony face included from multiple angles for your viewing pleasure. I tried out the newer pallanoph proportions on her in that upper left sketch and liked it (short metatarsals, long humerus, etc.) Win!
Need coffee. Then mastodons. And smilodons. And ground sloths. Oh my?
