AESTHETIC OF THE WORLD’S ETHNIES : Germanic ethnies ! The Germans are a Germanic european people inhabitants of the country of Germany. They speak german. The English term Germans has historically referred to the German-speaking population of the Holy Roman Empire since the Late Middle Ages, and there are between 100 to 150 millions of them worldwide. Due to heavy colonisation, they can be found in whole world, like in the United States of America, Brazil, or Argentina. German people have their own culture. The Austrians are a Germanic european people inhabitants of the country of Austria. They speak german. Historically, Austrians were regarded as ethnic Germans and viewed themselves as such. Austria was part of the Holy Roman Empire and the German Confederation until the Austro-Prussian War in 1866 which resulted in Prussia expelling Austria from the Confederation, and there are between 8 to 8.5 millions of them. Austrians may be described either as a nationality or as a homogeneous Germanic ethnic group. They have their own culture. The Dutch are a Germanic european people inhabitants of the country of Netherlands. They speak dutch. They come from the Low Countries which were situated around the border of France and the Holy Roman Empire, forming a part of their respective peripheries, and the various territories of which they consisted had become virtually autonomous by the 13th century, and there are between 28 to 29 millions of them. Due to heavy colonisation, they can be found in South Africa as well. The traditional arts and culture of the Dutch encompasses various forms of traditional music, dances, architectural styles and clothing, some of which are globally recognizable. The Frisians are Germanic european people inhabitants of the region of Frisia, officially in Germany and The Netherlands. They speak frisian, german and dutch. The ancient Frisii enter recorded history in the Roman account of Drusus's 12 BC war against the Rhine Germans and the Chauci. Some time after the death of Charlemagne, the Frisian territories were in theory under the control of the Count of Holland The Frisian lands only owed their allegiance to the Holy Roman Emperor, and there are 530 000 of them. They have their own culture. The Flemings or Flemish are a Germanic european people inhabitants of the region of Flanders, in Belgium. They speak Flemish dutch. Historically, "Flemish" was a geographical term, as all inhabitants of the medieval County of Flanders were referred to as "Flemings", irrespective of their ethnicity or language. The contemporary region of Flanders comprises a part of this historical county, as well as parts of the medieval duchy of Brabant and the medieval county of Loon, where the modern Flemish ethnic group and culture gradually formed, there are today 7 millions of them. They have their own culture. The Luxembourgers are a Germanic european people inhabitants of the country of Luxembourg. They speak Luxembourgish. Luxembourgers were, much like Austrians, historically considered to be a regional subgroup of ethnic Germans and viewed themselves as such until the collapse of the German Confederation. Luxembourg became independent, while remaining in personal union with the Netherlands, after the signing of the Treaty of London in 1839, they are between 336 000 to 500 000 of them.
