Flexible Cystoscopy

I had one this morning and it really wasn't that bad. For the fact that they're shoving a camera on the end of a flexible wire/tube up/down the urethra into your bladder, I was shitting it a bit ... And shaking through the whole thing, but I managed to keep my cool. The whole thing was uncomfortable but manageable, I was okay until they had pumped 200ml of water in, then I felt horrible and i had to make them stop. About 10 minutes later I was in agony but an hour and a bit later and I'm fine! and they didn't find anything so all is good I suppose

So, went for cystoscopy today.  Not fun but also not as bad as doctors and leaflets have made out it would be.  I guess it's different for everyone.  Still no answers, so it's back to the drawing board (aka GP).  Luckily I have a decent GP now, so hopefully he'll pursue.  If not I'll refuse to leave until he either thinks of something or gives me a new body.

For those of you concerned about having a cystoscopy, it doesn't like long at all (the actual procedure was probably only five minutes), and it is uncomfortable and slightly painful at times but probably nothing worse than the symptoms you are already having.

I now have what I can only assume is bladder-ache (they poked around in there a bit) and the regular symptoms after a cystoscopy. Do send me an ask if you want to do any asking.  I'll reply privately if you like.
