Fliegendesphinx’s Twin Arches
“A true redguard, a son of the desert, never needs more than a faithful camel, his tent and a sword.” Words to live by, thought Rhak’Alchim and travelled though Tamriel in a nomadic life style. One day, after bashing some evil Dro-m’Athra in a raid party, he stumbled upon something interesting which was keeping him busy since: A powerful sword, glowing in midnight blue haze and bright sparkles.
Mesmerized by this mystic weapon his destiny became clear. He had to find and reproduce the secret of its manufacturing. Was it hidden in the metal or the blacksmithing process? He asked masters in this field, studied old Dwemer secrets and even traveled to Clockwork City. Nothing helped any further. The metal alone was not the answer.
Was it an enchantment which provided the power? Neither members of the mage guild nor the Psijic order could provide council, but the astronomers in Belkarth did see a resemblance in the weapon’s glow to the firmament. As they had their own urgent problems they couldn’t help any further.
Fed up with the expertise of others Rhak’Alchim ended his nomadic life and settled. Not because he needs solid walls and a soft bed, but to have a proper laboratory where he can examine the secrets of this still so mysterious sword. A small house in the south of Bankorai was just right. Nobody is bothered by the forges smoke and noise and in clear nights one can spot lots of stars.”
