Located at Madinat Jumeirah, Pai Thai restaurant offers a culinary exploration of Thai culture in celebration of Loy Krathong, the ‘floating festival’, with a specialized set sharing menu available every evening from 22 to 28 November.
Loy Krathong is celebrated during the full moon of the twelfth month in the traditional Thai lunar calendar; during this celebration family and friends gather together to deliver candlelit ‘floating wishes’ to the waterways. Guests visiting Pai Thai during this celebration will travel on a traditional abra boat, which moves serenely along the scenic waterways of Madinat Jumeirah and will be greeted by hostesses clothed in traditional Thai dress. The restaurant will be a beacon of light amid the Madinat Jumeirah, with decorations illuminating the charming restaurant in honour of the festival. Each decoration has been handmade in-house to offer a truly authentic visual experience for every diner.
Family and friends will be delighted with the selection on offer with the set sharing menu; dishes include, Yam Sam O, a pomelo salad served with dried coconut and peanuts and the Yam Pla Sa Moon Pai, a perfectly crispy fish dish served with a concoction of flavours from ginger to kaffir lime. Diners will rejoice in tasting the succulent Gai Yang Sa Moon Pai, a charcoal grilled baby chicken, marinated in garlic, lemongrass with a dried chilli dressing as well as the Nuea Phad Phed, a beef dish cooked in the traditional Thai wok with red curry paste and assortment of Thai vegetables. For the finale, sweet enthusiasts will enjoy the Sa Khu Ma Muang Suk, tapioca pearl with sweet mango and served in Thai coconut milk, sugar syrup and crushed ice.
Guests are invited to join in and experience the unequalled charm and mystique of Loy Krathong in one of Dubai’s most scenic restaurants.
