Down far bellow the polished streets of Kaas City, past the warning markers is where water falls. A place where only the lowest of the low live in constant wetness trudging through water insuring that what comes down on them is clean enough to be released to the jungles bellow.
Flood District 1 and 2 seen here with District 1′s water treatment center a final stop before its released back to the ecosystem.
The Flood Districts are small, huddled along the sides of cliffs with homes now made from nonporous material. Back then they had been carved from the surrounding rock but after numerous leaks and stones growing in ones living room things were changed.
They manage a cramped lifestyle with small homes stacked upon each other. Those who luck out with larger homes tend to open shops within them selling tea, food and some extra supplies or at least offer a decent warm meal for those in the treatment center.
There’s one school in each District and usually a small number of teachers to tend to the young minds who call this place home. Most of the time the school is one of the few dry places which also serves as an evacuation spot.
The District Overseer has the largest building, but shares it with a small medical center and recruitment office. If one manages to leave the district for good (becoming Sith, joining the military, marriage or death) one has to go to the District Overseer and have it stated and to have their names updated for the census. To not do this can mean being hunted down and dragged back being told to get back to work. Though not many people tend to leave the Districts due to being already part of a tight community and traceable family ties. It doesn’t help that in the schools students who fail to pass Military placement exams are given classes on how to work in the treatment center.
These districts rely heavily on speeder transport stations for travel up to the higher levels of Kaas City for food as its too costly to create and tend a market place more or less shop down in the narrow districts.
Both Vient and Kekssan are from the Flood District specifically District #1
