Types of Empaths
This is the sequel to my blog post "Are you an Empath?". There are a few different types of empath and I'd like to list them here with short descriptions of what each empath has the strongest power or connection to. Hopefully this helps some of you or at least entertains you for a little while. (This is also on the aforementioned amino)
1. Emotionally Receptive Empaths - emotionally receptive empaths are in my experience the most commonly found. They are extremely receptive to the emotions and feelings of others to the point of knowing what someone feels before anything is outwardly expressed about it.
2. Physically Receptive Empaths - physically receptive empaths are extremely aware of the physical state of other people. They can easily tell things about others such as illness or bodily pains which often manifest themselves in the empaths own body. This trait helps these types of empaths become very skilled healers should they choose to do so.
3. Claircognizant Empaths - these empaths simply know things without having to have a basis in logic or reason. They often have gut feelings stronger than those around them about what the right or wrong thing to do in situations are, and can tell when people are lying.
4. Geomantic Empaths - this type of empaths can read the energy signals transmitted by the Earth itself. They can feel the history and emotions from significant historical areas such as battlefields and monuments and can often feel or predict natural disasters.
5. Medium Empaths - medium empaths have a strong connection to souls and spirits. Usually they're contact is with the souls of the deceased and they can communicate with them in one or more ways much easier than most.
6. Flora Empaths - these empaths can communicate with plants and is able to receive their physical and emotional signals.
7. Fauna Empaths - fauna empaths can here and interact with animals with ease and know how they physically and emotionally feel.
8. Psychometric Empaths - these empaths can receive information, energy, and Impressions from physical objects such as photos, jewelry, clothing, excetera, by touching them.
9. Precognitive Empaths - these and paths can feel the occurrence of an event or situation before it happens in the real world. Usually this manifests itself in dreams or physical and emotional Sensations such as excitement, a feeling of dread, or anxiety.
10. Telepathic Empaths - telepathic empaths can read another person's unsaid or unexpressed thoughts.
So that's my list of different varieties of Empaths! Many fall into more than one category so don't let that confuse you, for instance I'm geomantic, precognitive, and a medium empath. I've met empaths whose gift is both for flora and fauna. None of these are exclusive and you don't have to express only one gift. If I left any out please let me know!
