WEIW today about Flora Farm
Today I am wide eyed in wonder about Flora Farm. I've been wanting to go there for years, always driving past, making a mental note, but never stopping by, even for a bit. Today was the day. It was unplanned. I needed to while away some time waiting for my brother and family to arrive at their home. I was pleasantly surprised. It's huge, for one. It has lots of little stores, a wellness centre, a bridal store and a coffee shop. And off course, plants! Well laid out. Clearly marked that even non-green-fingered me could understand and know where to plant. The most delightful discovery was finding that they have organic seedlings!
WANDERLUST: Flora Farm
While traveling in Los Cabos this week, we were treated to an amazing experience at Flora Farm. Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra de Laguna Mountains of San Jose del Cabo, it is a small working farm serving all organic produce and feed for the restaurant and bar. The route is via a long winding unlit dirt road, arriving at a small decomposed granite parking area where you are drawn past modern hay bale galleries and outbuildings to the tivoli lights of the festive gathering place that is the restaurant and bar. From the open air structures made of reclaimed wood and steel windows lit by vintage bulbs and hanging jar votives, the mason jar glassware and vases full of local flora to the and the exquisite graphics and branding, we thought this was simply good design. Oh, and the food was good too!
