Sunflower Origins & Symbolism 🌻

The sunflower’s name comes from its tendency to reposition itself to face the sun. It’s genus, Helianthus, is rooted in two Greek words — “helios” meaning sun and “anthos” meaning flower.

The sunflower’s yellow color symbolizes vitality, intelligence, and happiness. The color yellow also traditionally symbolizes friendship.

Florapril day 17! Cattail pancakes!

Honestly, I think this is pretty cute and I like how this came out! And it was nice to learn that you can actually make cattail pancakes if you have cattail pollen. I’ve never had it myself, but if anyone’s had it and wants to say what it tastes like, I’d be game!
