He had become deafened by his own internal struggle with today’s failure on their missions, and Sanson had decided to take it upon himself to create some form of punishment. His Master, he knew, would never do such a thing. However, he truly felt that he had deserved it.
Thus, here he was. Hacking away at hologram-like enemies that had appeared in the simulator. If he cannot cleanly kill fifty of them in an effortless streak, then he must start all over again from number one.
The boars had fallen by his feet, and by the time the fiftieth boar had come charging at him, the simulator was disrupted.
He had missed his target by mere inches. He would have to start from one again, and work his way up to fifty.
He recognized the voice from anywhere.
“I am fine.” Was he? He felt fine, but perhaps his actions didn’t show it. “I am surprised. Are you here to train as well?”
