A/N: This is for @the-ce-horniest-book-club Easter Egg Hunt challenge, which I totally forgot to add the “Easter Eggs” into my Drabble (oh well, I blame the weed). If you haven’t make sure to go the CE HBC and look at all the other great content that a bunch of the other members have created! They are seriously so talented. I’ve decided to throw my hat in the ring, with my first RPF fic! This is a little plot bunny (hehe... pun) that I have from a current Teacher!Chris WIP (which I blame @theycallmebecca for giving me) I’m working on. I hope y’all enjoy this, it was a little bit out of my comfort zone, but I loved writing this.
“I don’t even remember making the deal! I’m not doing it!” You heard Chris’s whine from your bedroom. Chuckling at your boyfriend’s sass, you finish tying the ribbons on your kids “Spring baskets”. It’s your first Easter at your new school, having accepted a position in Boston to be closer to Chris. So now you’re a teacher of a small class at a private school in Boston, that focuses on kids that need more specialized attention. Those little kiddos in your class were your life, and you wanted to make the class Easter party the best one yet. And if that means tricking your drunk boyfriend to take a bet you knew he’d lose, well so be it.
Hearing the soft thumps of Chris’s feet, you look up to see a fuzzy bunny, currently being attacked by a very confused Dodger. Dropping the bag, you pick Dodger up so that Chris could have some relieve. You try to stifle your laugh, it’s just that suit was hideous, and Chris couldn’t do a thing about it.
“I don’t get why you’re complaining. It’s perfect.”
Chris sighs, as he walks back to your room to change. “I can hear you laughing! You’re lucky I love you!”
=====
Despite his complaints, whining, and begging to get out of it, Chris went above and beyond at the party. Before class got started, he helped you lay out all of the Easter eggs around the class, laid the bags out, and even “baked” some cookies (which you knew his mom really did all the baking, but it’s the thought that counts right?). With everything ready, you sent Chris away to the teachers lounge where he we was on strict orders to hide in the teacher’s lounge.
Watching your kiddos slowly file into class, and seeing their smiles, wide eyes, and surprise, it made everything you have to put up with worth it. These kids were so special and you loved every single one of them. They had a huge ball with the Easter egg hunt, and the cookies were a smash hit. With them wound up on sugar, you send a text letting “Mr. Bunny” know it was go time.
“One, two, three, eyes on me!”- you call out-“thank you, now, I know you all have been having so much fun, but we have a special visitor!” You smile, as a knock rings out over the gasps and (loud) whispers of your class.
“Now, I wonder who that could be?” You feign surprise as you open the door, with the Easter Bunny in the door way.
“NO WAY! IT’S THE EASTER BUNNY,” Justin, one of the louder kids of the class, yell, which causes the entire class to storm Chris, nearly toppling the poor guy over. You stand back as you watch the “Easter Bunny” interact with your class. And maybe it was just your internal clocking screaming at you, but something about seeing Chris with kids, and the way he interacts with him, it just melted your insides.
=====
With everything put away, and the dishes cleaned, Chris plops down on the couch next to you, a beer in hand.
“How the hell do you put up with that much energy every single day?” You chuckle as you rub his back.
“I just have more practice. That or I’m Superwoman, one of the two.”
“You are Superwoman, Y/N.” He kisses you, pulling you and Dodger into a cuddle pile to watch the Charlie Brown Easter special, marking the end of an already perfect day.
A/N: so this is my first request, it’s for the lovely, @captainhallow I hope you enjoy it Madi! Sorry if it’s kind of all over the place
Request: hi! It’s my birthday, so i was wondering if you'd do a fluffy birthday/easter fic with Chris Evans? Thanks <3
“Wake up, wake up!” Chris says cheerily while shaking me awake.
“Already?” I whine while rolling to face him. “What time is it?”
“Time for you to get ready, birthday girl. I’m going to go make you breakfast” He tells me with a peck on the cheek.
I grumble for a few moments longer before a cheesy smile takes over at the thought of Chris making me breakfast for my birthday. I take a quick shower and throw on a spring dress before making my way to the kitchen.
“What’s cooking, good looking?” I tease while hugging him from behind.
“Pancakes, bacon, eggs, and there’s fruit over there”
“Oh my, Chris this is way too much food for just us”
“You underestimate me sweetheart,” he says with a wink.
Turns out he was right, I definitely underestimated his ability to eat 6 eggs, plus pancakes and half a pound of bacon. And to think I still found him sneaking some of the jelly beans we got for his niece and nephews!
“Christopher! Those aren’t for you!” I yell while shooing him away.
“You can’t just bring starburst jellybeans into this house and expect me not to eat them”
“I bought you your own, where did those go?” as I’m asking he immediately starts walking away, looking guilty. “Chris did you eat that whole bag already?”
“No! I didn’t, I swear”
“Then where did it go?”
“Okay, so maybe I ate it”
We finally make it out of the house with all our gifts in tow. We meet Chris’ family at church which goes smoothly. Miles always loves to hang on Chris and Stella has taken to sitting on my lap when we have family gatherings. Seeing Chris with kids is one of my favorite sights, and I think the feeling is mutual.
After church we go to Chris’ mom’s house where she set up an easter egg hunt for the kids and they get their baskets from me and Chris. All the kids are running around the backyard, and when I say all the kids that includes Chris.
“Doesn’t it just make you want to have your own?” Carly asks when sitting down next to me.
“You know, it kind of does,” I chuckle. “But I don’t think now is really the right time”
“Right time for what?” Chris asks, suddenly plopping down on the ground next to me.
“Oh nothing,” I assure him by pressing a kiss to his cheek. He continues to eye us suspiciously but thankfully Carly stays quiet. He finally lets it go and changed the subject “I think I’m getting too old to keep up with these kids”
“You? Too old? No way” I tease.
“You’re right, you’re the one who’s getting old, birthday girl” he teases and starts tickling my sides
“Chris!” I slap at his hands to stop him and hush him. “It’s not nice to call someone old on their birthday” I practically shout in between giggles.
“Hm, fine. I’ll wait until tomorrow” he tells me and finally stops tickling me
“How kind of you” I deadpan now that I have my laughter under control.
“Well aren’t you two just the cutest” Carly teases as she walks back into the house. A blush rushes to my cheeks once I remember that she was there.
“You’re so embarrassing” I stage whisper to Chris and elbowing him. He catches my elbow, before I can do any real damage, and flips me so I’m laying on my back underneath him. I’m so in shock by this turn of events that I can’t even argue. He kisses me quickly before we hear the patio door sliding open. He rolls off me and pulls me up as if everything is normal, but the blush on my cheeks won’t fade. “Jerk” I say under my breath so whoever opened the door doesn’t hear. Of course Chris bursts out laughing so they knew something was up. Thankfully it was just Carly again and not Lisa.
“Chris can you grab the kids? Dinner’s ready” she calls from the door.
“Yeah, sure” Chris says through his laughter while getting up off the grass. I extend my arm to him, silently asking him to help me up, but he just quirks his eyebrow at me. “And what makes you think I would help you?” he asks with a smirk
“Because apparently I’m old” I shoot back. This of course sets him into another fit of giggles and he stumbles backwards while grabbing at his chest. I sigh in fain annoyance and get up on my own, making my way to the playset to get all the kids. Just as I’m about to call out to them that dinner is ready Chris comes up behind me and picks me up around the waist. Instead of words a squeal escapes my lips as he spins me around. All the kids look at us with confusion written on their faces before they start running over in hopes of Chris spinning them around too. Chris assures them that they’ll get a turn after dinner and shoos them towards the house, all while he’s still holding me off the ground.
“Are you going to put me down?” I ask once the kids are a couple yards away.
“Maybe later”
“Chris, come on. I’m hungry I want to go eat”
“Okay,” he says as if he’s going to let me go but instead just starts walking towards the house with me still in his grasp.
“Okay, this is what I mean by embarrassing. Chris you’re mom is in there!”
“Oh stop. She loves seeing us together. She’s just happy that I’m happy, so stop stressing out about it”
I’m quiet for a few moments until he gets to the deck, “Can you please set me down?” I ask sweetly.
“Well I suppose since you said please” he teases and sets me back on my feet. I take a few seconds to straighten my dress back out before looking up at Chris, expecting him to lead the way even though it isn’t my first time at Lisa’s house. Instead of moving towards the door he takes a step towards me, kissing me almost urgently. His tongue makes a quick pass by mine before he slows down, pulling away to give me a second, chaste, kiss before pulling away completely. I wait a few seconds before opening my eyes to meet his. “What was that for?”
“I don’t know, I just love you, a lot. Come on, we should go eat”
I grab his arm and pull him back before he’s out of reach, quickly going on my toes to press another hard, fast kiss on his lips.
“What was that for?” he echoes me.
“I just love you a whole lot, too” I say with a cheesy smile.
“Was today okay?” he asks, concern suddenly changing his tone “I mean, I know it’s not how a typical birthday is spent but-” I cut him off quickly with another kiss.
“Chris today was perfect, you know I love spending time with your family. And honestly, as long as I’m with you I don’t think I could have a bad day”
“I’m glad you feel that way. Come on, we should go eat. And then it’s presents time” he claps his hands excitedly.
