I wish it didn't exist, but it's actually really not Canon (thank you Sega). It was said to be a reboot, but then they changed it to be a branch of the series (like Boom). Unfortunately this made it so Silver wasn't canon, but they wanted them to be canon. The solution was to give them the personalities and canon of the comic and put them officially in Rivals. Blaze's first appearance was actually Sonic Rush.

In short, 06 is not canon. Rivals was the official release of Silver. The canon of Silver is the comics.

Hi there, sweet! I saw your Rp post and was kind of hesitant to send this, but I've been debating whether I should start Rp'ing. What piqued your interest in it to start?

(This is a college AU, I hope that’s okay ^^ I actually started one in canonverse but it didn’t save? Oh well I kinda like how this turned out, I hope you do too~)

“Sam Winchester. Saaaaaaammmm Winchesterrrrrrr…” A decidedly less-than-sober giggle filled the room, and Sam couldn’t help but smile as well.

“Cas, c’mon, I’m trying to study.” Cas burrowed his head into Sam’s shoulder, nuzzling closer and completely obscuring Sam’s view of his laptop, “-just because you’re completely drunk by eight PM doesn’t mean you get to bug me. I have a huge test tomorrow and a paper to write and no matter how much I’d love to join in the booze-fest right about now, I can’t.” Cas flopped over onto his back next to Sam and heaved a tremendous sigh.

“You’re always studying though, why can’t you just… take a break for a while? Nobody’d know if you just wrote the paper later, right?” Sam was about to answer but was cut off by Cas continuing, “- and you know, Sam, it’s not as though this class matters. In the grand scheme of your life, this specific paper won’t matter at all. But in the vast expanse of the void, nothing really matters, really.”

“Cas, once I finish this I’ll have plenty of time to contemplate existence. But until then I need to focus on how the first amendment is the most modernly applicable one in the constitution.” Sam pushed Cas’s arm off of his laptop keyboard and tried to continue his train of thought about how all legal freedoms are correlated, but no matter how long he stared at the blinking cursor he couldn’t focus.

“Sam, pleeeeease? Have a beer. Or an Irish coffee. Or a shot… or five. You study too much.” Cas sat back up, his hair ruffled from having run his fingers through it so many times. Sam absently reached over to attempt to tame the mess, but ended up just petting Cas’s head rhythmically. When the computer’s display had gone to sleep and Sam still hadn’t found any real reason why finishing his paper would be more enjoyable than a few drinks and cuddling, he closed his laptop and admitted defeat.

“Fine, if you insist, I can finish this later. But if I fail the test, it’s your fault, Cas.” Cas didn’t seem to mind the joking threat, leaning in to press his beer-scented lips briefly to Sam’s cheek before leading the way to the kitchen, where half the liquor in the tiny apartment was already out on the counter.

Needless to say, Sam didn’t get around to finishing his essay that night.
