The fluid lipstick battle

Ultimamente i rossetti fluidi sono sulle cresta dell’onda. Ogni brand ha lanciato il suo e tutti sanno il fatto loro. Dimenticatevi però le ‘seccanti’ texture degli anni passati, questa stagione si sono evolute e garantiscono (sul serio) colore, tenuta e brillantezza.

Come scegliere quello giusto per voi? Identificandolo nella mia top 3.

Miglior Idea: YSL Kiss & Blush

Ispirato alla gestualità delle donne sempre di corsa che ravvivano il makeup con l’aiuto di un solo prodotto, il nuovo Kiss and Blush è stato pensato sia come rossetto fluido sia come blush. E funziona. La texture è leggera, opaca ma luminosa. Il colore resiste sia su labbra sia su guance e il packaging è talmente compatto da stare in una clutch.

Miglior Idratazione e Colore: Dior Addict Fluid Stick

Con una sola passata definisce le labbra, le idrata al massimo e le rende più piene e turgide. Il colore (io ho scelto l’arancione Artifice) dura per ore ed è veramente facile da riapplicare.

Miglior Finish Shiny:  Lancôme Lip Lover.

L’ultimo nato in casa Lancôme vince per la sua brillantezza paragonabile a quella di un gloss. Qui in Rose Gracieuse.

Pick the one that suits you the most from my top three list below.

 Best Colour and Hydrating Power: Dior Addict Fluid Stick. in one single sweep it outlines the lips, it nourishes them and makes them appear fuller and turgid. the color stays put for hours and it is really easy to reapply. 

  Best Idea: YSL Kiss and Blush. Inspired by the classic scenario that sees woman refreshing their make-up with one sigle product, the new YSL Kiss&Blush is a lip-and-cheek formula that’s small enough to fit in your clutch. The texture is light, matte, yet luminous and stays put both on cheeks and lips. I love it.

   Best Shiny Finish: Lancôme Lip Lover. Like a gloss it has an incomparable shiny finish. I love it in Rose Gracieuse.

Beauty Crush: Dior Addict Fluid Stick

Packaging innovativo per il nuovo Dior Addict Fluid Stick, un rossetto liquido di ultima generazione che, oltre ad essere proposto in colori d’impatto, garantisce un comfort assoluto alle labbra (non contiene cere, solo acqua) e una durata ai limiti dell’impossibile. 

Io l’ho provato e nonostante un po’ di scetticismo iniziale (dovuto alle formule non eccezionali dei rossetti fluidi di altri brand degli anni passati) mi sono dovuta ricredere. Così come il packaging, il contenuto da vita a un’illusione non appena si posa sulle labbra. 

L’applicazione non potrebbe essere più facile e anche se ho scelto un colore non proprio sobrio (l’arancione Artifice) non ho avuto difficoltà a delineare i contorni delle labbra. La prima sensazione è di pienezza, quasi come fosse un balsamo che va a riempire le sottili linee di disidratazione. Poi arriva l’illusione che tiene fede alla sensazione iniziale: le labbra sono decisamente più piene. Il colore è un flash (che ho abbinato a un make-up minimal) e rimane al suo posto per un periodo di tempo più che soddisfacente. La brillantezza dura anch’essa anche se non quanto il colore, ma poco importa. Infatti il Fluid Stick è facilissimo da riapplicare, con una sola passata si ravvivano sia colore e sia brillantezza. 

Onestamente sono tentata di andarlo a comprare anche in altri colori!

Ceci n’est pas un lipstick. In fact, Dior’s new Fluid Stick is nothing but amazing, it is an incredible one-coat do-it-all hybrid lipstick that combines the easy application and the shine of a lipgloss with the power of colour of a lipstick. 

I gave it a try in the last days and, despite I was a bit skeptical at first, soon I had to change idea. As the packaging is a mirage, the formula becomes an illusion once it touches the lips. 

The application cannot be easier and, even if I picked a bold colour (the orange Artifice), I got the result in one single sweep, without having trouble in outlining the lips. The first sensation is of extreme comfort, the formula nourishes the pout quenching the fine lines thirst. Then comes the illusion: lips are fuller and turgid. The color is flashy (I matched it with a minimal make-up) and stays put for long time. The shine is long lasting as well but it doesn’t hold up like the color. Never mind, the Fluid Stick is so easy to apply that with another light sweep it revives both color and brilliance.

I’m seriously thinking about buying it in other shades!
