I’ve had the Impossibles on the mind since I saw a trailer for Arms a while back, you know because of Coil-Man and his stupid looking springy limbs that hated. Stretching and contorting is fine, but the slinky body’s got to go. Even though The Impossibles was one of the lamest shows I’d ever seen on Cartoon Network, I’m not above fangirling over some bishie versions. They just need a little dignity that’s all, plus some costume and power tweaking and a story beyond playing guitars then fighting a villain. That I can get behind.
I saw that there was a recent comic series, Future Quest, with them and other 60s era Hanna-Barbera cartoon heroes in it. I found some pages online but even the update and the addition of a girl (not needed, but whatever) doesn’t do anything for me. It mainly reminded me of how lame I thought a lot of those old HB cartoons were.
