Weathered my DC-17s! Graphite powder and silver paint on the edges.
I’m working on a big new cosplay, figured it might be fun to actually make some posts for once and document the journey a bit. So, here we go!
I’m working on a Phase 1 Captain Rex, with the goal being to wear it to Star Wars Celebration 2027.
I’ve ordered quite a few things already: undersuit, neck seal, gloves, harness kit, custom boots, kama, and STL files for the blasters and holsters. That last one is what I’ve been working on recently.
The test prints turned out great!
And then the first print with fancier PLA (CosPLA from Polymaker), failed right before the finish line. But it’s not all bad, I kept most of it so I can test painting and weathering, and just started a fresh print.
Which then also failed. Fun times.
Swung big on correcting this and got a new build plate for my printer, which should help with my bed adhesion. So I guess stay tuned for updates!
Happy Ghostbusters Day!
Debuted my Ghostbuster cosplay today and looked rad as hell! Pack couldn’t handle the heat though, so no lights and sounds. But I did find a little figure of Ray!
2014 vs 2018 Man, this cosplay has come a long way.
Anime Expo highlights!
Met @milesluna and got both my new shield and my new copy of Camp Camp signed.
Met the awesome folks of Something Witty Entertainment and gushed about how much I love SAO Abridged
Saw @shes-an-iso and @shota-bootyshorts while waiting for a line to open!
They directed me towards a booth selling Tron stuff, where I got this sweet Grid map.
By the time I left there and got in line, I wound up next to Tyler and Joe of @plotbubble / @shizno / @beacon-broadcast! That was a cool moment. I think they were as surprised to meet a fan of the podcasts as I was to meet them!
The line mentioned before was for Dan Salvato! I got to tell him that I really liked his game and look forward to what he does next.
Not a highlight, just a really good full-body pic of my cosplay, taken by @rubixwolfwright
I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day, I got in. Finished the jacket and OH MY USER IT LOOKS SO GOOD! Next step is making a back mount for the identity disc.
Did a little shoot in my Assassin coat yesterday and wanted to share some of my favorites!
