The conspiracy theorist in me says Flynnposter was originally supposed to be Eugene (no Captain of the Guard promotion) having déjà vu over a string of crimes in Corona that exactly match his MO as Flynn Rider and when they finally catch Brock Thunderstrike, he, Rapunzel, and Lance collectively panic for a moment because they’re not about to go through Mirror, Mirror 2: The Electric Boogaloo

Only for the ACTUAL reveal to be Brock is Eugene’s twin brother, via Edmund casually when seeing Brock, “Oh? Did I not mention your twin brother Henrik? Must’ve slipped my mind.”

As much as Cap retiring in Flynnposter sucks, imagine the complete field day he had when he found out there was a new Flynn Rider in town and the new Captain was upset that he couldn't catch him. Just imagine him sitting there all smug like

"Oh, you can't get Flynn Rider, Fitzherbert? Gee, that sounds awful. You must be so upset about that."

Me, also an RTA fan: Heh. *slides Rapunzel's Enemy under the rug* That's absolutley right! *stuffs No Time Like The Past and Flynnposter into a drawer* The filler episodes really do make the show! *backs against the closet door so that Goodbye and Goodwill and Freebird don't fall out* I love shows with good filler episodes!
