What so many of these Metaverse pop stars are not getting is that VOCALOID and Hatsune Miku owe there success to its fanbase. All of Miku's  and any other VOCALOID songs  you hear are all made by the fans and user of the VOCALOID software. For the most part the parent company has no say in what user can create. Meaning its always a huge deal when a big VOCALOID producer gets there song played during a live show. FN Meka and Polar are basically the industry plants of the this very niche sub group of music and none of there song will ever compare to track like "Unknown Mother Goose by Wowaka"

I Wish These Creators of Virtual Influencers Understood What Made Hatsune Miku Work

She didn't work because she had a big personality and an online presence. She works because she and other vocaloids (is Miku still considered a vocaloid?) allow independent creators to make unique and interesting songs and art. She is moldable so she never gets old and is more than a novelty. Also, just the way that the metaverse is trying to claim the idea of a virtual pop star is so cringe. Give credit where it's due.
